DIY musician refuses to get overwhelmed

It’s amazing all the choices out there for marketing yourself as an independent musician.  Like a buffet that never ends.  Still not sure how to put together the best meal, but to try to go for everything at once is the quickest route to indigestion.

College radio, independent radio, public radio, internet radio, podcasts, blogs, social networking sites.

I have lists and notes and game plans from years of conferences and books and marketing gurus.

My new release will be here in less than 2 weeks.  June 10th they said.  And it’s all up to me.  I have to do something, but where to start?

I numbered a blank page today from 1-50.  I’m going to submit my new release to 50 places.  Some taken from my notes, some from recommendations.  Just start there.  Commit to those 50 places and see where it all leads.
