The other day when I missed the ending of “Bridalplasty” & posted on Facebook, my sister-in-law responded. My high powered, Ivy-league-educated sister-in-law said “That’s one of our favorite [horrible] shows!” But unfortunately, she had missed that episode too.
Last year I did a one-woman show at the Herberger called “Beauty of the Numbers” about the stock market comparing the language and the movements of the stock market to life’s ups and downs.
After the show, a very well-spoken, well-educated friend approached me and asked me if I’d been keeping up on some financial show on CNN. I said, “I’m sorry, but I’ve been more “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
Then he leaned over and whispered to me, conspiratorily, “How about that Scott?”
We can drop our jaws and pretend to gasp, but these networks know what they’re doing.
